Baby food requires deep and uniform starch gelatinization (alpha-starch conversion) to ensure the infant’s delicate stomach can digest it without irritation. Our co-rotating twin-screw extruders provide superior mechanical shear and consistent temperature distribution. This achieves a gelatinization degree of ≥90% while allowing precise addition of nutritional fortifications (vitamins, minerals) without thermal destruction, which is impossible to control on a single-screw machine.
We prioritize sanitation. All material contact surfaces, conveyor belts, and drying meshes are manufactured from certified food-grade SUS304 stainless steel (or premium SUS316L upon request). The processing chambers are designed to eliminate sanitary dead corners, allowing easy cleaning and conforming fully to global GMP and HACCP hygiene requirements.
We utilize advanced short-time high-temperature (HTST) extrusion physics. The grain flour mixture remains inside our twin-screw cooking barrel for only 15–30 seconds. This brief exposure is sufficient to fully cook the starches but short enough to prevent the thermal breakdown of heat-sensitive micronutrients, preserving the maximum biological value of your fortified recipes.
Fortified recipes containing calcium, iron, and fiber can be highly abrasive. To counter this, we manufacture our extruder screws from premium 38CrMoAl alloy steel treated with high-depth plasma nitriding. This achieves a surface hardness of ≥HV850 and a case depth of 0.5–0.8mm. This robust metallurgy ensures an average continuous wear life of over 8,000 hours, keeping your maintenance costs exceptionally low.
